Hello! Today I am sharing what I am doing to make sure that my natural hair is the healthiest it can be. I uploaded a video to my YouTube channel where I show the steps in my wash day and so this post is to give some more context to that routine.
Since I did the big chop I have been immersed in an experimental phase of trying to figure out a routine for my hair. If there is one thing I have learned from my relaxed hair journey is that a routine is essential to have a healthy head of hair.
On a weekly basis I wash once usually on a Saturday or Sunday. I then moisturise and seal on around day three (usually Wednesday). My hair stays moisturised for the first two days after my wash day so I have no need to re-moisturise until day three. I then re-moisturise and seal every day after that leading up to wash day.
For the first time this past weekend I incorporated a protein treatment into my wash day and I plan to keep doing one every six weeks. I will have my experience with my protein treatment blogged soon.
I have not settled on a moisturising deep conditioner yet but I would say everything else I used is going to be in my routine for the forseeable future. All the products I used are listed in the description section of my wash day video
